Unidiversity 2014

Unidiversity 2013 – Since 1993, teenagers from all over the Southeast have attended an extraordinary week of energizing, inspiring discipleship training for teens — Unidiversity. Beginning with a small group of five churches, the camp has grown to include churches from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Kentucky. A spirit of openness and connection has encouraged teens from a variety of backgrounds to embrace the Unidiversity experience.
Teenagers from inner-city ministries, small rural congregations, and large suburban churches make up Unidiversity. So, from theology to worship style to missions to just plain having fun together, Unidiversity helps teens discover UNITY in God's family when we love each other and celebrate our DIVERSITY... our UNIDIVERSITY. This week is programmed for rising 7th graders through rising college freshmen. Chaperones will be needed, especially those who have bus driver’s license.

Get ready for Appalachian Outreach 2014!

Jefferson City, Tennessee – Appalachian Outreach ministers to families from a five-county area who need home repairs. They are recommended by churches, community organizations, Department of Human Services, home health care services, and by individuals. College students, faculty, community volunteers, church youth and adult groups join together as partners in volunteering their time, talent, and resources to provide a helping hand. This trip is open to youth and adults with priority given to youth should spaces fill up. Bus drivers are needed to assist with this trip.
Nature of the work: The repair ministry is supervised by a skilled foreman who works for Appalachian Outreach. Each year many homes are repaired as tangible expressions of the love of Jesus Christ. Funding for this program is provided by individuals, church and civic organizations. Repairs may include roofing, painting, decking, plumbing, and other basic construction tasks.
